Sober 24 years since 1987 and sponsored by Polly P., Donna thinks the 4th is not about writing down all the crappy things she already knew she had done.
It does not say to do that in the Big Book. Her sponsor did it by the Book and told her,
"Right now what we are looking for is the Big Chunks because this is not the last one you'll ever do."
In sobriety she has learned love after the loss of two sponsors, a son and a daughter all in the same time period.
She has had two recent, serious car crashes with concussions that have her walking with a cane - 2011 and April 7, 2014.
Socrates said,
"An unexamined life is not worth living."
But one of her mentors said,
"An unlived life is not worth examining."
