Originally from Louisville, KY from a long, very distinguished military line, the first alcoholic, Dick got sober in Atlanta after calling the Hotline and speaking to Helen R. He had a loaded gun and was ready to blow his brains out.
Since then he has been to 7 Internationals, 32 Atlanta Roundups (on the first one he was in a suit helping with the parking), and just returned from Akron to celebrate AA's 75th Anniversary.
His wife Barbara was the Al-Anon speaker earlier in the day.
