Clancy is sober 37 years since 10/31/1957. The most recorded speaker in AA, he has sponsored hundreds of long term members of AA who have in turn sponsored thousands. Tough on the outside but caring and giving when it really counts, Clancy is a great example of AA in action.
Clancy tells stories about the event chair, Pat W. of Marietta, GA, and experiences they shared over the years. He also talks about "slippers" and being new in AA. It is more than just not drinking and going to meetings. He says he needs to remember that "Newcomers are at a different meeting than I am at."
