Sober 24 years since 3/30/1987, Bob rotated out as AA Trustee at Large for the United States exactly three weeks before this talk.
In this talk he shares his story before and after AA. Earlier in the day he shared a sample of photos and stories from his many trips around the world representing AA.
He grew up in an alcoholic home in a small town in west central Massachusetts. His mother got into AA when he was pre-teen and he loved going to meetings with her. By seven years sober, though, she quit going and died of alcoholism years after Bob came into AA and got involved in service.
One of the youngest Delegates to serve in AA in his 30's, he came into AA at age 24 rather than fall on a knife in his apartment.
Very powerful on many fronts with moments of defiance and humility.
A great edition to the collection.
