Dick and Barbara lead similar workshops around the country. Sober over 30 years, Helen is the Office Manager for the Central Office of the Metro Atlanta Intergroup of AA. The Workshop focused on the Traditions and Concepts of AA with an emphasis on applying them to our daily lives.
Barbara shares from her Al-Anon perspective her experience of how the Traditions and Concepts became a central part of her marriage. Speaks to the different types of relationships we each have. Al-Anon helped teach her to think in a different way. Shares her 12 Steps Before Al-Anon. Hopes to dispel some of the fear AAs can have of Al-Anon. Speaks to Acceptance without judgement. Shares her "toilet seat" story. She explains the 3-P's of not forgiving: Protection, Power and Punishment. Learned to live life anticipating God's Gift for today.
