Sober since February 28, 1990, Walt is a well loved member of AA in his local area. He is very active in AA in and around Cartersville, GA. Originally from Chicago, he got sober in Florida. His dad was a pharmacist and adult child of an alcoholic who worked all the time. His parents were not alcoholic but they had all the behaviors. Walt became a joiner just to get out of the house. His parents retired to Sarasota Florida. Walt jumped around all the time. It was all sex, drugs and rock and roll and I'll get to know you later. He worked hard and played hard. He was a teacher with a landscaping business. He is in his fifth marriage now- two died from the disease. He is currently married to someone in the program.
