Sober 9 years since 2/5/1960, Virgil was Delegate for Area 16 (Georgia) 1966-1967 and worked with Bill W to mold the organization into its current form.
Though 9 years is not much time today, it was not unusual for someone to serve as Delegate with only 5 years in the 1950's and 60's.
