Meister Eckhart said, "The soul grows through subtraction." This was a workshop on the steps as a path of spiritual subtraction. Tom B takes the audience through the steps with a focus on letting go and finding what is left when we get rid of the unnecessary. Bill W. did not use surrender in the first 164 pages but rather terms like abandon, rid, cast to one side and divorced.
