He was Into sports: soccer, training with the Olympic skiers in Lake Placid, NY around the time of the Olympics, helped restart the Crew rowing team at Clemson University in South Carolina. They called themselves the Redneck Rowers and did very well.
He stopped maturing at college. He did well in school focusing on finance and accounting. He met and married his wife in college.
Throughout his early career he kept getting advancements even though he was drinking daily.
Got his master's at GA Tech. He traveled all over the country negotiating sports franchise purchases until his wife pointed out that he was never home to help raise the family.
After many rehabs his wife and her parents executed a flawless escape for her and the kids who he has not seen now for several years.
But he continued to drink until he got the job where he is in now and knew he did not want to blow it one more time.
He came into AA and jumped into recovery holding a service position in his first year.
