Sober 17 years since 4/2/2009, Susan was in and out of AA in her 20's, 30's and 40's, but she believes she did not relapse because, in that time, she never got a sponsor or worked the steps.
"You can't relapse from something you never had." A tragedy in early sobriety nearly took her out, but she reached for the phone rather than the bottle.
And that willingness, and a Power greater than herself, has made all the difference.
