Sober 19 years since 1969, it took him several years to do the 4th and 5th Step right.
He took his fifth with an Anglican clergyman who did it with knowledge and insight.
For the previous eight years he had been reading Step 10 in the Twelve and Twelve every day. He believes Step 10 is much more than a "maintenance" step.
