Held in December, the retreat was envisioned by Sandy B to not be marketed - no flyers, no website - just spread by word of mouth, drawing seekers from the far corners in a non-AA spiritually focused men's retreat.
Special thanks to the website where I found this and the rest of the series held from 2006 to 2012

Lauder from Washington, DC - siber 23 years. 65 years old the day before this talk. Drew an Ace growing up: his dad was a test pilot, his mom a Southern Bell. His God was an all-seeing pityless eye. He became a paratrooper who wanted to die. Went to Vietnam. Came back guilty he survived and angry. Took lots of drugs and alcohol. Had a white light experience but still spiraled down for 17 more years. The sister of a friend attracted him into the Program, and got him to go to a treatment center in a desert in CA at age 41. He speaks of cash register, spiritual and emotional honesty.
