Sober 41 years since 4/11/1977, Polly got sober in Texas then moved to the Los Angeles area where she was a very active member for many years.
She sponsors many women with long term sobriety and still takes meetings into to a treatment center in her newly adopted home town.
This even though she is a caregiver to her husband Dave.
She was coaxed into coming to this event to help celebrate Clancy I's 60th AA birthday for he was a large part of her journey in sobriety over the years.
I was able to chat about caregiving for family members briefly with Polly in the parking lot after this talk as she was preparing to drive back to Jacksonville.
Her spirits are high, the strength flows through her as she makes the best possible use of her time - caring for her partner, lover and best friend.
Job well done, good and faithful servant.
