Sober 43 years since 1940, Oscar is quoted often in the AA History book called "Dr. Bob and the Good Oldtimers".
After Oscar gave Dr. Bob an official letter of resignation from AA, Bob said,
"We'll keep some oats in the bin and some straw in the barn for you, because you sure as hell are gonna come back."
