Sober 11 years since 7/4/1988, this was Nancy's first time speaking at a big conference.
She was raised in a wealthy home with 7 siblings. Whatever she asked for at Christmas she got.
She confirms that money cannot by happiness.
She got pregnant at 17 in a blackout by a marine and, her dad being a marine, he was given two choices - marry her or die. That is not a good way to start a marriage.
Written on the tape by Nancy some years later:
"This tape tells perfectly what I had been given by AA and God by the time I was 11 years sober ....and what almost all got away by the time I was 18 1/2 years sober - Learn by my example!"
