Sober 20 years since 9/17/1992, Mike is a good ole country boy. He came into AA with some solid old timers.
Born in Charlotte, NC, his dad left when his mother was pregnant with him. He was raised by his grandparents in fine church going tradition.
Scared early on, he took his first drink when he was 11. It gave him power to do things he normally would not do. By 15 he drank every day.
He would blackout, commit crimes and wind up in different cities. Folks told him, "You ought not drink."
