Mike burned the house down when he was a toddler and knew he had to keep it a secret. This was the start of many secrets to come. He came into the program young but had a difficult time getting permanent sobriety. His father was in the program. The last thing Mike wanted to be was an alcoholic. Originally from New York, his father helped him get with some old timers in Texas. He shares how they nurtured him in the program and taught him to respect our history. One of his mentors was one of the first tapers in AA. Today Mike and his wife have hundreds of reel-to-reel tapes they are in the process of digitizing. A true joy to listen to and share his passion for AA.
