Sober almost 2 years since 7/21/2016, Michelle's 1st AA meeting was in 1985 at age 15, thirty years before she finally got sober.
From South Florida, with a father who just celebrated 47 years in AA, she was the cheer leader who became an extreme hard-core music promoter traveling all over the country.
That lasted until she became too unpredictable.
So she went back to school and started bar tending then managing restaurants which became her life.
Her first husband killed himself and she was too drunk to stop him. She quit for eight months only to drink again.
"It was a slap in his face."
She got into another relationship with a nice guy who drank like she did.
The day she found him dead on the floor from alcohol was her last drunk.
She called dad who flew her back to Florida and into treatment.
Just over a year ago, she left a close knit AA family in Florida to move to the Atlanta area where she found the Program alive and well.
