Sober 14 years since 9/15/2018, Michael grew up in a cotton mill town near Asheville, NC.
Although he came into AA in 1980, he never got committed to the Program.
Then at age 60, alone in a motel, just out of jail, facing another failed marriage, he humbly asked God for help.
Then he began taking on service commitments at the meetings.
That led to being GSR and DCM.
He still sets up several meetings in the area, actively sponsors, is sponsored and is a shining example of AA in action.
