Sober 18 years since 1/23/1980, Michael is a female alcoholic.
She was raised and got sober in California.
She met her husband Ted when she was speaking at Edisto Beach, SC prior to 1995. They corresponded long distance for some time then met again at the AA International in San Diego, CA. They later married and moved to where he lives outside of Augusta, GA.
They have a real AA home and host a weekly Big Book Study there were a busload of soldiers from the local base attend regularly.
Tragic but often funny, Michael's story is both entertaining and inspirational.
