Sober 15 years since 5/1/2008, Matt fully joined AA in a North Carolina prison at age 23.
"The papers said I was arrested. I say I was rescued."
In the back of the police car, he said a heart-felt prayer:
"I can't live like this anymore. Please, help me."
He started drinking young and ... "It wasn't long before I realized I liked to travel when I started drinking,"
After several arrests he resolved to not drive again.
At his first meeting at age 17, there were many nice, old people like grandparents who said,
"Keep coming back.", and he said, "OK, I'll see you in about 50 years."
It took him only six years to come out of the Gotham City like darkness.
