(#2103) Marty M (New York, NY)
7/3/1980 in New Orleans, LA  EVENT: AA International 1980  TYPE: AA, Female, Story, Author

AUTHOR: Women Suffer, Too

Sober 41 years, Marty died of a stroke 19 days after this talk, 7/22/1980.

The back of the tape states she spoke nine times in New Orleans before flying home and having the stroke that next morning.

This is a masterpiece from a woman who made her career speaking as the founder of the National Committee for Education on Alcoholism (NCEA), now the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence or NCADD.

She authored three books as well as the story in the Big Book that has been included in the last three editions.

She was the last of three speakers on an International style panel. The other two were not recorded on the cassette copy.

I have included the intro and the post sharing by the Chairperson Janice, as I think she has a solid message as well.
