Sober over 5 years since 1982 at age 29 when she ended a long run as an overachieving alcoholic and intravenous drug addicted medical doctor and psychiatrist. She also claims to have grown excellent pot in her backyard.
She spent most of her life in Arkansas coming to Georgia to sober up with Doug Talbot at Ridgeview in Smyrna, GA. Later she graduated from Emory under Talbot as a licensed addictionologist who headed an adolescent addiction program at Ridgeview.
This is an amazing story of how far the addict and alcoholic can go in leading a double life which almost always catches up with us in the end when we realize the one we were fooling the most was us.
