Sober 16 years since 8/19/1984, Mark grew up in Pittsburgh and first got sober there.
There are many aspects of this story I like. I guess "down to earth" is a good approximation.
He had a great family but he saw their love as interference.
He says many times that he was a sloppy drunk.
He tells a great story about being asked to leave a place he was staying because he passed out while filling a king size water bed.
He got sober the second and last time in California because he was done. It is hard to explain what that level of sick and tired is like.
Shortly after getting sober his father died unexpectedly. There were times of overwhelming tears and others of unexplainable Peace and Love.
He got married and recently moved with his wife to be near her family in Omaha.
