Sober 19 years since 3/8/1979, she burned both ears curling her hair to get ready for this talk. She said she was nervous because it was God shaking the truth out of her.
She did not come into the rooms as a Lady. She came from an alcoholic West Virginia family: Her dad suffered from alcoholism and her mom from his disease. There was no words of love in the family. Daddy would go to jail regularly.
When she got sober she discovered the part she played in it all.
Marie started running away early. She was a violent drunk. At 14 she was sent to a state reform school and loved it.
Then she was sent to a convent and even got visions of becoming a Nun. She was a big fan of John F. Kennedy and Dr. Kildare (ask your mother) and had a crush on Jimmy Swaggart.
At one point she became a Bunny at a club and later worked for the Govenor's office.
