Sober 17 years since 5/25/1986 at age 47, Larry was raised poor in rural Mississippi with no liquor in his family and he did no drinking before college.
He got a scholarship both athletic and scholastic to Ole Miss.
That's where his 30 years drinking career started.
He played 13 years in Pro Football but after that alcohol took over his life.
His bottom came in a jail cell in Memphis where he said his first sincere prayer as an adult.
