In Al-Anon almost 10 years, she is the adult child of an alcoholic.
Her father's alcoholism came on very suddenly. She soon discovered alcoholism was rampant in her family.
After in the program, she discovered her daughter had been molested by a neighbor boy some years before.
Her daughter has been struggling and Al-Anon is helping Katie cope.
She ended a 19 marriage in an amiable way and, later, married a member of AA who has three children of his own.
