Julie is qualified by her husband Gary. With a number of family members in the audience, this talk has added power and depth. Julie was born in 1941 in Cheyenne, WY to loving parents who had waited five years for her and 4 years later her mother died. It took her years to understand why. Her grandmother had 82 children and grandchildren when she died. Reunions had a cast of 100's. Some were in-laws and some outlaws and they did some fighting. She met Gary when they were both young in the Jimmy Dean 50's, dated off and on for three years and then married in August of 1959. That started the 5-year long road of alcoholism into Al-Anon and AA.
