Sober 14 years since 4/18/1998, John said it was like he came into AA on the way to the cemetary. He has seen the spirit found in the rooms of AA bring so many back from the dead.
Born in Statesboro, GA to a fine mother who died when he was nine. He was raised by an alcoholic father who had trouble providing for him. He felt less than at a real young age.
He surrendered in a Florida county jail when he was at the jumping off place.
