Sober 28 years since 1978, Joe is married to Glenda R who has her Al-Anon story from the same event two years later also on WeJoy.
The middle child, he was raised speaking French in Lake Charles, LA. This got him in trouble at school and he lost interest in it and got trouble with the law early.
He started working at an early age, building and working on his father's dairy farm 23 miles from the nearest town. His parents drank but never got drunk.
He tried college for a while but that wasn't for him. He quit and started to work for the union on the oil pipelines.
It is there where he met Glenda - a preacher's daughter. Six weeks later they were married reluctantly by her dad.
