Jimmy starts off talking about Gratitude and finishes with a passionate message of how his life has changed by the Power of God and the necessity to change his thinking.
The source tape was not labeled with the date or location. I know from the content it was not in Woodstock, GA where his home group was the 11 am Sunday Morning meeting at the HOW Place.
The person donating the tape guessed the location might be Smyrna and remembers hearing the tape the first time before 1995.
Thus, the original posted year of 2000 has changed to 1994. This also chenged the website link to this talk.
I do not recall Jimmy giving his sobriety date on any of the recordings in the WeJoy collection.
A reliable source indicated he drank for one year after getting out of prison. He was sentenced to 40 years in 1964 but only served 8.5 or 9. Thus, he got out around 1973 and got permanent sobriety in 1974 or 1975.
