Sober 28 years since 7/10/1988, Jim met Sister Ignatia at 6 years old because his father was in AA in Cleveland, OH.
Jim came into AA to stay as an alternative to pouring gasoline on himself and lighting it. He drank one other time after that for one day, ended up arrested after a high speed chase. He had first attempted AA six years and three earlier.
A mix of a geek, hoodlum and hard worker, parts of his life before AA went very well but the dark side was horrible. He was a heroin user as well as an alcoholic.
I have been to many jail meetings with Jim and know he is very passionate about carrying this message.
