Sober almost 2 years since 7/29/2020, Jessy was raised in a really small town in North Carolina.
Her dad was a binge drinker for days or weeks at a time, who had his first heart attack when she was eight. He eventually died from the results of drinking when Jessy was 12. After his death, she found out he was not her biological father. That changed the way she saw herself.
She was Daddy's Little Girl, and he was fun. Her mother was amazing, worked two jobs, kept the kids clothed and food on the table.
"All my memories consisted of some sort of event that had to do with that."- trips to detox, jails, prisons.
"I was loved, and I didn't know that it was weird or different until I was much older."
