Sober since January 1956, Harriet is active in service in the Dade County area. She drank alcoholically from an early age. She decided to join the Marines in WWII but got off on the wrong floor and only realized she joined the Nanvy when it was too late. They made her an officer but she preferred to be the fork-lift driver hauling ammunition around while drunk. Fortunately the ammo was spent. She speaks of her relationships in sobriety and how diving into service was the key to finding joy and purpose in her life. A truly compelling talked.
