Sober 26 years since July 1979, Francine has a classic transformational story.
She came into the rooms in Las Vegas in a full body cast from a hit-and-run in a blackout while walking. She did not even have a GED.
Her sponsor told her, "If you want self esteem, do esteemable acts." She got her GED and some undergrad courses, moved to New York, went to law school and passed the Bar Exams after numerous attempts. Later she moved to Califoria and did the same trick.
She has written a book about her experiences.
