Sober since 4/20/2004, Eric is a small town, country Catholic. At 13 a series of family tragedies led him to seek relief for the way he felt. He did other things besides alcohol, but he grew up in AA and respects the traditions. He became the god in his world from age 17 to 29, frequently blacked out, until it became horrible. He woke up in a jail cell as he frequently did but this time was different. He was headed to prison at Lee State. He found a way to get drunk even there. But he soon found AA and God in prison.
