Sober 19 years since 4/20/1996, Ed grew up in a normal family with five sisters. He did not drink until he went to the Air Force Academy.
The first time he drank was at a squandron party. He did not know better and ordered a bottle of Seagram's 7 and drank the whole thing. His drinking was like that from then on.
He lasted only two years at the Air Force Academy.
By 1996 he was in a motel room with a bag of pot, a 6-pack of beer and a pistol to blow his brains out, wondering which to use first.
Diagnosed with cancer just prior to this recording, Ed has become a great asset to his family, job and AA community by adopting the AA design for living.
Thank you Ed.
