Sober 37 years since 8/31/1961, Don says, "i've been coming to this Roundup for about 15 years and this is the first time they had good sense to let me speak."
He absolutely insists on enjoying life. Irish, he grew up with gansters in his neighborhood. "Enviornment didn't make me an alcoholic." Even the Mafia guys encouraged him not to drink.
"AA is like the mafia because if you leave here your dead there is no question about it."
