The adult child of an alcoholic father, Denise is the mother of three with a new, three-month-old granddaughter.
Her mother was in the audience and had never heard her story.
Her mother asked, "Are you going to be talking about me?"
Denise answered rather matter-of-factly:
"It's my story. I don't think I would have a story if I didn't have a mother."
"Al-Anon has given me the tools to live a life that I didn't know how to live before I came into Al-Anon."
