Sober 11 years since 8/10/2004, this talk was given at a recovery center housing 50 men. Attendance at this meeting was mandatory for those in the first phase of the program. Thus, it was almost a captive audience.
Also in attendance were a number of homeless men who were to be given a place to stay that night because the temperature was below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
The talks ends with a choice for those in the room - tap into this "new employer" or "check out" the way we all did when we were in our disease.
The choice is ours to make.
