Sober 27 years since 3/1/1976, Creighton was a retired pilot who played Professional football for two years.
It is interesting (or scary) how many pilots there are in the Program.
He is an excellent speaker with a story with many twists and turns.
He came into AA after waking up that morning under a bridge in a cardboard box.
Creighton died 31 years sober 9/10/2007. His local obituary reads,
"He was born Aug. 23, 2007, in Chanute, Kan. He was brought up by his maternal grandfather. He was a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kan. He played football for Lees-McRae College, University of North Carolina and the Washington Redskins. He was a U.S. Army paratrooper and a graduate of the USAF flight school, flying C-130s and USMC fighters during the Vietnam War. He joined Braniff Airways in 1965 and retired as vice president of flight training for Northwest Airlines in 1996. After retirement, he was active in humanitarian endeavors. He was a deacon of the Presbyterian church and an elder of the Episcopal church."
Quite a long ways from the cardboard box!
