Sober 31 years since 11/13/1966, doctor by profession, he was medical director at the recovery focused Peachford Hospital in North Atlanta around 1980. He was also involved in starting this event.
His drinking and drug use nearly cost him all - his family, his career and his life. He shifted his focus after getting sober from gynecology toward treating the addict and alcoholic.
He was driven, in part, by the inadequacies in the treatment industry at the time of his greatest need.
