Sober 21 years since January 1946, two years before this talk, Chuck conducted a men's retreat at Pala Mesa, CA that was later transcribed into the book A New Pair of Glasses.
In 1963 he conducted one of the first men's retreats in AA at Carbon Canyon near Yorba Linda, CA. It became known as the Lost Weekend because the recording did not become widely available until many years later.
