Sober 21 years starting at age 21 in 1987 fully qualified, Christine was a Delegate at age 30. She grew up painfully shy in a cage of fear. Her dad was a practicing alcoholic who was out of her life after the age of three.
Dad was her hero and her responsible mom was the villan. He eventually got into AA and took her to her first meeting at age 18 to hear another 18 year old speaker with 3 years sober. From day one she appreciated AA but not for her.
She drank early and hard. Her blackouts put her in awkward situations but not enough to quit.
God has always been with her but she refused to see him.
It took a full blown intervention to get her attention. That was 8/5/1986.
