Sharing the first 20 minutes, Bob D came into Al-Anon first at age 18. He loved it and was hurting inside but was too cool to stay.
"I needed to be better than you so I could feel equal to you."
He came back to stay at age 20.
Soft spoken, Bob shares elegantly how his sponsor took him through the Steps.
Bob's father is long time in recovery and, also, helped Bob with his Steps.
The 40-minute speaker is Peggy C, is a lively, 16-year member since 8/10/1976, with eight children who prayed for her husband to stop drinking so she would be OK.
He found AA without her help, got sober but Peggy was not OK.
"My husband says I was a born Al-Anon waiting for an alcoholic to happen."
