Sober 23 years since June 3, 1967, Bill was the Thursday night speaker.
It is tradition at this event that the Thursday meeting is open to all who show up.
It is known by some as the "warm-up" event which is ironic because Bill was says he was always trying to be cool. He came into AA almost frozen, unable to make his $100 a month rent.
