The Wind Beneath My Wings: Bill has been a leader in the Atlanta AA community for years. He has been a key to the success of the Atlanta Mens Workshop held twice each year east of Atlanta at Rock Eagle, GA. As well as speaking at large roundups around the US and Canada, Bill shared his experience, strength and hope at a meeting I attend of 20 inmates at the Cobb County Jail. He truly walks the talk.
Bill accidentally shot his best friend while at college. Shortly after he was miraculously rescued during a suicide attempt. Bill had a long career in broadcasting. This is a story of a family disease and becoming a father again through taking the actions suggested in the Big Book.
