Sober 4 years since 3/2/2012, Barry calls himself a recovering alcoholic in recovery who in ten minutes could talk himself into a drink.
His father, a fun guy, was a traveling chemist, his mother a nurse. There was alcohol in the home often. Born in New Jersey, Barry's family moved to Smyrna Georgia in 1968.
Barry says he was not a normal kid.
