In Al-Anon off and on 37 years since 1978 and permanently 26 years since 6/15/1990, previously from Dothan, AL, Angie was raised in a military home frequently moving and being the new kid on the block.
Her mother was a raging alcoholic. Angie lived in the world of books. Her older brother was always the star athlete and always gone.
She was unhappy and scared most of the time with a dream man who was really just like her - wounded.
She graduated high school at 16 and by 18 in 1978 was married, had her daughter Amanda, divorced, met an AA member Paul and went to her first Al-Anon meeting.
Her daughter is the qualifier who disease brought Angie into the Program permanently in 1990.
