(#2773) Angel T (Kennesaw, GA)
6/12/2021 in Woodstock, GA  EVENT: HOW Place Saturday Night  TYPE: AA, Female, Story

Sober 32 years since 3/26/1989, Angel got sober in New York City.

She later moved to Kennesaw, GA to be close to her daughter and grandchildren.

Later, she moved her mother down from New York and took care of her sober even though she hated her mother growing up.

This talk was given on the 3rd anniversary of her mother's funeral.

Angel was born in Israel by Holocaust surviving parents who moved to New York when Angel was 6 years old.

She was abused by a neighbor who "befriended" her, but Angel took it because she felt so alone.

She found relief in an evangelical Christian group including relief from the neighbor's abuse.

That was good while it lasted.

She started smoking pot at age 11 and started drinking, ran away from home and lived in the streets when she was 12.

She has dealt with anxiety, bi-polar disorder, and deep anger for years.

She married into the mob and lived in abusive luxury in Manhattan - both taking and giving the abuse.

It is a story of transformation in stages that continues to expand after she had a spiritual experience at 25 years sober.

Thanks, Angel, for sharing and caring.
